Formby Surveys is changing! September 2007 saw the retirement of the previous company owners, husband and wife Shaun and Pam O’Hare who started the company back in the late 1980s.

Andy Roberts and his family purchased the company as it provided a perfect opportunity to continue and develop the outstanding reputation that already existed with the firm. Andy graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1999 and has worked extensively throughout the UK and Europe, initially as a Surveyor before progressing into management and establishing a land surveying department for a Chartered practice in the City of London in 2000. Following this, he diversified slightly and became Business Development Manager for a software company which wrote and developed bespoke surveying software solutions. His role again involved travelling the length and breadth of the UK implementing and training surveyors in the operation of these systems.

Since the management change, Formby Surveys has streamlined its processes and continues to provide the first class service it always has, whilst firmly believing that it is important to seek opportunities in new areas. Andy’s philosophy centres around Formby Surveys being a solution provider to a variety of sectors and it is our integrated approach to our clients and understanding of their needs, which is the key to our success and future development.
