The Triathlon Bug

Following on from his recent successful
completion
of the Liverpool Triathlon
in June, Formby Surveys MD Andy Roberts participated in the 4th
annual King Sturge Property Triathlon held at the prestigious Eton
College Rowing Club at Dorney Lake, near Windsor, which is the
venue for the forthcoming 2012 Olympic rowing and canoeing
events.

The
event, co-sponsored by King Sturge & Property Week and
co-ordinated by Human Race, was open to anyone in, or connected to,
the property industry, attracting all levels of competitor, from
complete novices to more seasoned triathletes and has firmly
established its position as one of the top five UK triathlons by
size.

The focus of the
event is charity fundraising and has raised over £650,000 to
date with The Children’s Trust and Orchid being the
chosen charities for 2010.

The event was held on the 9th July and was subject to
exceptional weather, superb organisation and fantastic
atmosphere. Andy’s efforts were rewarded with a great swim
and bike, however he had to abandon his race during the early
stages of the run due to a back strain which occurred during
transition 2 (bike to run).

Better luck next year Andy!
